On page 1123 of the above-listed article, two lines below the abstract heading research design and methods, “n = 249” should be changed to “n = 250,” as correctly stated in results on page 1124. The correct sentence should read as follows:
A 1-year multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 120 mg orlistat t.i.d. (n = 250) or placebo (n = 254) combined with a reduced-calorie diet was conducted in overweight and obese patients with suboptimal control of type 2 diabetes.
