Standards Of Medical Care in Diabetes—2020

American Diabetes Association “Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes” is based on a complete review of the relevant literature by a diverse group of highly trained clinicians and researchers. After weighing the quality of evidence, from rigorous double-blind clinical trials to expert opinion, recommendations are drafted, reviewed, and submitted for approval to the American Diabetes Association Executive Committee. Clinical Diabetes Special Issue: Call for Submissions

The editors of Clinical Diabetes seek manuscript submissions for a special-topic issue on Diabetes Technology scheduled for publication in mid-December 2020. These articles should be tailored to the primary care audience on a wide range of topics under the broad general umbrella of “diabetes technology.” Articles that report on original research or successful quality improvement initiatives are of particular interest. The submission deadline is 14 May 2020. 35th Annual Clinical Conference on Diabetes

The 35th Annual Clinical Conference on Diabetes will be held in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 21–24 May 2020 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa. It will provide a comprehensive update on the treatment of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and comorbidities. The ADA Clinical Conference is developed specifically to share current clinical information utilizing different teaching methods, including didactic general sessions and small-group, interactive learning opportunities. Diabetes is Primary

Diabetes Is Primary will be held in Chicago, IL, on 12 June 2020. The American Diabetes Association will bring together health care professionals interested in the clinical management of diabetes and its complications for an innovative educational initiative developed specifically for the primary care community. 80th Scientific Sessions

The American Diabetes Association’s 80th Scientific Sessions will take place 12–16 June 2020 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL. The Scientific Sessions offers researchers and health care professionals an amazing opportunity to share ideas and learn about the significant advances in diabetes research, treatment, and care. Short Course on Strengthening Causal Inference in Behavioral Obesity Research

Indiana University School of Public Health – Bloomington will be offering a short course on Strengthening Causal Inference in Behavioral Obesity Research in Chicago, IL, on 8–12 June 2020. The nine course modules will provide rigorous exposure to key fundamental principles underlying a broad array of techniques and experience in applying those principles and techniques through guided discussion of real examples in obesity research.
