  • Categorical variables coded as: male = 0, female = 1 (gender); no history of seizure = 0, seizure history = 1 (seizure); later onset diabetes = 0, early onset diabetes = 1 (onset of diabetes); levels coded as 0 are the baseline. For specialist diabetes care and school completion, only participants older than school-leaving age and no longer in pediatric diabetes care were included in analysis (n = 75). Thus, onset of diabetes is not included in this analysis.
